In late February, the Israeli Knesset passed the NGO Funding Transparency Bill by 40 to 34. It had been a long journey for the bill which despite its neutered state was still a declaration of war by the conservative Likud Party against the shadow NGO empire that was the Soros way.
While the bill was no longer able to empower the lifting of tax exempt status for foreign funded NGO’s and it only addressed foreign funding of NGO’s by government entities, it was a major step for foreign funding transparency. The Soros empire had been built on non-transparency, on hidden donor lists and front groups funded by think tanks with money pipelined in grants through a dozen different organizations.
NGO transparency threatened the entire Soros empire and the passage of even a neutered bill meant that Israel might finally be ready to begin rolling back the peel on the rotten fruits of the Open Society Institute. First governments, then foreign funders, parliamentary inquiries into foreign funding and then the loss of tax exempt status for left wing NGO’s waging a civil war.
The response came quickly. Less than two months later, Stanley Greenberg, whose firm had done work for OSI, presented a plan to use social protests to create a new majority against the government. Some of the funding for the protests came from fellow Shadow Party billionaire, S. Daniel Abraham.
Abraham was a former board member of Soros’ International Crisis Group and had provided the manpower for J Street, while the Soros money stayed hidden in the paperwork that no one was supposed to see. The president of Abraham’s eponymous organization is Robert Wexler, the former congressman from J Street and an adviser on the Middle East to the Obama campaign.
Netanyahu’s sharp exchange with Obama in May motivated even Democrats who weren’t in Soros’ vest pocket to find a way to force him out of office. It was no longer just fear of losing the Israeli left as their hand puppet– the American Jewish vote was in play. Replacing Netanyahu with a lefty eager to appease the terrorists would heal the split with Obama and Jewish voters.
The American and European left could provide the money and the strategy, but the Israeli left would have to do the heavy lifting to save the millions of dollars flowing their way from their foreign backers. On the Israeli side were left wing veterans of Clinton’s successful effort to topple Netanyahu. Greenberg had been on that campaign and the plan was to do it all over again.
Two months after Greenberg’s presentation, the ball was rolling. Eldad Yaniv, who had been there when the master plan to take over the country was unveiled, was soliciting volunteers for a campaign against housing prices. And not long after that, Daphni Leef, a radical left-wing activist, set up an encampment and a Facebook page protesting against high real estate prices. Who was Leef? She was a video editor for the New Israel Fund.
The New Israel Fund is the mothership of Israeli left-wing NGO’s and it is the most threatened by donor transparency. The NIF’s 25 million dollar annual budget is used to fund even more radical groups some of which call for boycotting or outright destroying the State of Israel. A recent Wikileaks report quoted the local head of NIF, Hedva Radovanitz, as saying that she expected the country to disappear and be replaced by a more “democratic” Arab state.
Soros had used his Open Society Institute to feed money to the NIF, one of its employees had become the point woman for the protests– and the NIF was also funding the protests.
Shatil, the NIF’s “empowerment and training” arm mobilized tent protesters, wrote up a guide for them and brought out the money. Also helping out was Rabbis for Human Rights, recipients of sizable grants from the Open Society Institute and the Tides Foundation. Rabbis for Human Rights had even given awards in one evening to both the presidents of the NIF and the OSI.
The Greenberg plan in typically Sorosian fashion aimed at dispersing the organization to as many groups as possible to make it seem as if there was a plurality of voices in a grass roots populist movement, rather than a well orchestrated plan by the left’s international backers to topple a government which had become a threat to them.
Netanyahu’s sound fiscal management had brought Israel through the global economic turmoil in fairly good shape, but the country was not immune to the rising prices that had stirred up the revolts of the Arab Spring. The social protests followed a similar template with a similar intent.
Israel is a parliamentary democracy and its elected officials can be forced out by no confidence votes. In 1999 a no confidence vote had ended Netanyahu’s first term in office. Protests, trumped up charges and Clinton’s meddling allowed a cabal of leftist tycoons and NGO’s oust Netanyahu and replace him with Barak. Now the left is partying in Tel Aviv like it’s 1999 all over again
The left is utilizing a tactical blueprint tested around the world by Soros front groups or grantees. Hijacking protests over the price of bread allowed him to topple Mubarak. Now it’s Israel’s turn.
The campaign for Israeli NGO transparency threatens Soros’ long term influence in Israel and the defection of Jewish voters threatens his influence in America.
His Israeli puppets have big money at stake. Soros, the Shadow Party billionaires and the EU have spent fortunes to buy up the left. Israeli left-wing university grads with no talent for tech have a lucrative alternative to dot coms in the NGO and if their NGO mafia were to collapse, it would give the leaders of the housing protests some real economic problems to cry about.
Meanwhile a guillotine was set up at the center of Tel Aviv’s housing protest tent city. It’s a message for Netanyahu from the man who has toppled governments and currencies, that his days are numbered.

If a Jew can freely live in Hebron, North Dakota, he should freely live in the city of the Patriarchs of Hebron, Judea. If a Jewish family can dwell in Bethel, Ohio, it must be able to live in the original Beth-El, Samaria. But today the Israelis living in Judea and Samaria risk to be turned again in Jewish refugees. And the security of the State of Israel would be at existential risk. It happened after Gush Katif, that was a national implosion and disgrace that caused enormous physical, psychological, social, cultural, military and strategic damage to the entire Jewish nation. The disengagement left a deep wound that will not heal, not only because Jewish lives and homes were destroyed, but because it was immoral, unjust and irrational. It was part of an anti-Zionist, anti-Jewish and anti-democratic trend. After Gush Katif, the terror leaders have held press conference saying that they are moving their battle to Judea and Samaria and will transfer their rockets to the edges of the urban centers of Israel — Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Hadera, Netanya.
The so called settlers, Jeweish citizens of Judea and Samaria, are leading today a unique and historical battle for the safety and the integrity of the State of Israel and the Jewish people. Very few public personalities in Israel today have the courage and strenght to defend the Jewish rights. The Israelis living in Judea and Samaria are a tiny figure in the Middle Eastern conflict. But for many reasons the key of Israel’s future lies on their shoulders and hearts. “Land for peace” is the new Western opiate of masses, but for Israel is a way for committing suicide. In a time of global terrorism, monstruous antisemitism and Western appeasement to evil, those who have taken it upon themselves to defend the Jewish homeland and rights need and deserve all the support. And sovereignty, the ability of a government to act independently and in its own interests, is the essence of statehood and self-defense. The roots of Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel are modern and political, but they are also biblical, grounded in Jewish history: the first and second Temples, commonwealths and civilizations that flourished in the Land of Israel, especially in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Rome has its Colosseum and Athens has its Acropolis, but the Western citizens don’t feel any connection to their ancient sites. Instead Elon Moreh, Shiloh, Beth El, Hebron, Gush Etzion, these names are providing the Jews with intimate emotional links between present, past and future.
Jewish national and religious consciousness is the primary basis for the State of Israel’s existence. If Israel’s legitimacy would be rooted only in a resolution of the United Nations, tomorrow it could be revoked by the same assembly. The State of Israel, therefore, on behalf of the Jewish people, has the moral and political responsibility to say the truth: the land of Israel, including Judea and Samaria, legitimately, legally and historically belongs to the Jewish people. Proclaiming “Jewish”, rather than simply “Israeli” sovereignty, is an authentic statement of the relationship between the Jewish people and the land of Israel. Israel claim to a permanent presence in Judea and Samaria passes two critical tests: these areas belong to the Jewish nation, on the basis of the historical record, and Israel needs them on the basis of strategic considerations. The Jewish towns and houses beyond the so called Green Line are the backbone of Israel’s security. We should first remember that the same word, “settlers”, refers to the secular kibbutzim of the 1930s and 1940s as well as post-1948 outposts, such as Ashkelon. Professor Weiss initiative is also an humanitarian event. The Israeli media has cruelly exploited the “settler” to manipulate public opinion. After the Oslo talks, every settler killed by terrorists was a “price of peace”, a barbaric concept and perversion of humanism. The expelled residents of Gush Katif — the farmers of Atzmona, Katif, Netzarim, Netzer Hazani and Kfar Darom, the surfers and fishermen of Shirat Hayam, the Torah scholars of Neveh Dekalim and the mothers of Gadid — are the finest sons and daughters of Israel. They are the bravest soldiers and the most patriotic citizens that Israel has produced. But overwhelmingly, the Western media and intellectuals ignored and downplayed the terrorist atrocities suffered by the Jews of Judea and Samaria. It’s a dehumanization process part of Israel’s destruction as it happened during the Second world war: the Jews had to be dehumanized before being taken to the gas chambers.
To deny the right of Jews to live anywhere in Israel makes them lesser in nationhood than any other people. In the XVI century many Polish towns obtained the so called “privilegia de non tolerandis Judaeis”, that means cities where the Jews were forbidden to live in. Europe had the Jewish ghettos during the Middle Ages, the zoning restrictions in the Czarist Russia and the Nazi “rassenschande” laws, meant to ghettoizing the Jews. Israel today faces an historical movement of demonization and evaporization that involves its security, religion, diplomacy, culture and statehood. The solution doesn’t lie in more appeasement, self-hatred and self-rejection. The nightmare that Israel has endured with the destruction of Jewish Gaza must be the starting point for a new period in Israeli history. A period of faith, confidence, strenght and hope.

Сегодня мы начинаем цикл лекций, который я читаю где-то раз в два года. Тема наиважнейшая — «Введение в Устную Тору».
Что означает «Введение» ? Мы будем заниматься, в общем, техническими вопросами, обойтись без освещения которых мы не можем.В каждой ешиве, включая «Махон Меир», есть библиотека. Книг много…
Так называемых «святых книг», вышедших со времен Синайского Откровения и до 1960-х гг, насчитывается около 80.000 названий.
Немного, да ? Относительно народа, так много внимания уделявшего учебе…
Но в последние годы, как мне стало известно, каждый день выходит по две «святые книги». Невероятный прогресс налицо, хотя не всегда эти книги представляют некую ценность.
Человек, обращающийся к традиции и начинающий изучать Тору — поначалу просто теряется. «За деревьями он не видит леса»[1], он не видит пути, поэтому совершенно необходимо иметь «дорожную карту», по которой можно найти книги, сортировать их по важности и предпочтениям, понять что есть корень и что есть ветвь…
К нашему глубокому сожалению, сегодня человек может учиться 15-20 лет и не знать азов.
Не знать даже, что раби Йеhуда и раби Йеhуда ha-Наси — это два разных человека, — сей прискорбный факт я лично обнаружил у «аврехим» со стажем. Катастрофа, но факт. Люди не знают что написано раньше — «Шульхан арух» или «Мишна брура».
Поэтому, все это надо прояснить, хотя, конечно, каждый может сделать это сам, используя библиотечные ресурсы…
Здесь я завершаю прелюдию и перехожу к началу лекции.
Начнем с общих вещей, а потом углубимся в частности.

Враги протеста
У протеста есть два направления: первое хочет перемен и справедливости. Второе, куда входит и Дафни Лиф, хочет анархии.Тот, кто выбрал первый путь, обязан сказать Лиф, что она должна уйти.
Более чем какой-либо другой протест, это протест средств массовой информации. Возможно, существуют заинтересованные лица, вкладывающие миллионы в эти протесты: в демонстрации, организацию, сотни тысяч афиш, расклеенных по всей стране, в автомобили с рупорами, добравшимися и на улицу, где живу я. Однако в СМИ не было инвестировано ни копейки, т.к. большинство СМИ превратилось в «листок протестующих» и т.к. никогда еще в истории СМИ в Израиле не были так мобилизованы.
До тех пор, пока кое-кто не «вышел из рядов дружного хора».Большинство населения, предполагаю, не имело представления кто такой Шарон Галь, хотя он и вел ежедневный экономический обзор на 10-м канале. На прошлой неделе Галь стал символом. Он сделал то, что все интервьюеры до него не смели сделать — он посмел, наконец-то, задать вопросы Дафни Лиф.
В один день он превратился во «врага народа», «прислужника олигархии» и т.д. и т.п. Как журналист посмел задать вопросы ? Если мы полагали до того, что это есть естественная функция СМИ, — выясняется, что мы ошибались. Большинство СМИ потеряли не только объективность, но и здравый смысл.Странная коллективная слепота.
Да, эти протесты важны. Да, есть необходимость в социальный изменениях. Да, есть несправедливость.Значит ли это, что надо замалчивать вопросы ? Дафни Лиф была первой, но это не дает ей никакой «неприкосновенности».Цель не оправдывает ничего — ни средств, ни активистов.
Адженда(пункты, составляющие облик) ее (Лиф) — важна, очень важна, т.к. тот, кто стоит во главе — показывает направление. Тут и там я слышал слова Баруха Марзеля. Он высказывал, не падайте со стула, и правильные мысли тоже. Так что ? Это причина, по-которой надо за ним идти ? Это причина игнорировать возмутительные вещи, сказанные им ?Если он — за социальную справедливость, следует ли превратить его в вождя тех, кому отвратительны его высказывания по другим воросам ?
Пришло время взрослеть
Прошло два дня после того интервью, прерванного Дафни Лиф с поразительной наглостью, ибо ей не понравились вопросы. И выяснилось, что она лгала, или как минимум, скрыла правду. Лиф подписала «письмо шминистов» (отказа от службы в ЦАХАЛ в знак протеста против «оккупации»).
Если бы дело было в «юношеских заскоках» ! Прошли годы, с кем не бывает…Однако сейчас, когда протесты идут уже полтора месяца, уже можно говорить о наравлении. Практически, о двух направлениях. Первое — хочет перемен, второе — анархию. Первое хочет социальной справедливости, равенства в обязанностях, достойной жизни. Второе хочет борьбы. Борьбы во имя борьбы. Протест без конца.Большинство деменстрантов вчера вечером и предыдущих деменстрациях хотят перемен, не анархии. Часть вождей протеста балагана в старом коммунистическом стиле — «чем хуже, тем лучше». Чем хуже народу, тем лучше «революционному ядру».
Давайте признаемся. Когда Гидон Леви и редакционная статья в газете «Хаарец» поддерживают протесты, это происходит не потому, что они вдруг превратились в апологетов социальной справедливости.
Подобный их поворот — нечто между лицемерием и обманом. В точности, как «ястребы МАПАЙ» в другие времена, которых тоже интересует только «один флаг» — флаг политический.Они поддерживают руководство протестами не «не обращая внимание на дополнительную, политическую составляющую», а именно потому, что эта составляющая там есть.Они поддерживаю Дафни Лиф не «не обращая внимание на то, что Дафни Лиф не служила», а именно потому, что она не служила. И поэтому, Шарон Галь, задавший эти вопросы, превратился во «врага народа».
Потому, что они не хотят социальной справедливости — они хотят Дафни Лиф.
Одним из главных составляющих социальной справедливости, которую требуют поротестанты, является равенство обязанностей («шивьён бе-нетель»). Это значит — военная служба, гражданская или общественная. Очень странно, что именно это требование бесследно исчезло. Группа, которая уже многие годы держит этот флаг — «Форум ле-шивьён бенетель» — изгнана [из рядов протестантов]. Ведь это трудно — требовать равенства в обязанностях от тех, кто считает Израиль «преступным образованием».
Прошло 6 недель с начала протестов. Пришло время взрослеть. Это касается и СМИ. Невозможно далее продолжать этот обман. Пришло время сказать правду.Нет здесь одного протеста — их два. Вчерашние демонстранты (неважно, что их было меньше миллиона) хотят социальной справедливости, перемен и равенства в распределении обязанностей перед государством. Часть тех, кто сегодня стоит во главе протестов, включая Дафни Лиф, ищут чего-то другого и они — ВРАГИ ПРОТЕСТА.Тот, кто выбрал первый путь, должен указать им на дверь.
